About Vernon Doctors Hockey
This is the largest Physicians’ Hockey Tournament in Western Canada. It is open to medical physicians from any location who are currently practising in any discipline, medical residents, medical students, and retired medical physicians. Teams consist of physicians only. Non-MD’s are not allowed to participate.
Throughout all these years, we have had so many participants from different areas of medicine. This makes us proud to say that we are one of the best venues around – and a great venue to meet with many medical colleagues.
The next Annual Doctor’s Hockey Tournament will be March 1-2, 2024. The Medical Symposium is usually held at the Prestige Vernon Lodge and Conference Centre.
The games will take place at Kal Tire Place, Kal Tire North, Priest Valley Arena, and Armstrong Arena. The tournament accepts up to 24 teams. Team registration is open until February 1, 2024. A $500 deposit will be taken at the time of team registration and held until the tournament begins. From November 15th up until the beginning of the tournament, players are expected to register and pay their respective fees. There are different registration fees (with early bird, regular and LATE fees) based on whether you are a Medical Doctor, Resident, or Student. The team deposit will be reimbursed at the tournament once all players on the team have registered and paid.
